Hollyfur sat at the center of the stone hollow -- the ThunderClan camp -- near the fresh-kill pile. Her very pregnant belly warming in the sun. Her time was fast approaching.
Eyes closed she didn't know her kit, Foxpaw was behind her until he spoke.
"Mother?"
Hollyfur pricked her ears up, but did not open her eyes.
"Yes, Foxpaw?"
"Do you know where Bramblepaw and Snowpaw are?"
Hollyfur sighed, then lifted her head to look at her son.
"They're out hunting for the elders near the Ancient Oak. Your father went to check on them, since both their mentors were out of patrol."
"Oh, okay. See ya then mom!" and he bounded off out of the camp.
Hollyfur chuckled. Her youngest was always following his brother and sister around, even though he was an apprentice too. Hollyfur just hoped they'd all stay out of trouble for once. But she doubted that.
